Classes

Take a class with Kevin
John C Campbell - 2023 August 27 - September 2
  Foundations in Woodturning

Projects 1: Making Beads and Coves

Work on the three basic shapes: Beads, Coves & Flats

Projects 2: Bud Vases

Start a simple project such as a bud vase, toothpick holder or small twig pot. We work on the controlling the gouge, making entry cuts, shape and design.

Projects 3: Wood Stem Wine Glasses

This session we will turn a set of Wood Stem Wine Glasses. The previous projects will give us the confidence to turn a slightly more complex project.

‚ÄčProjects 4: Threaded Acorns

All the previous projects had led up to making a Threaded Acorn. Making a wooden acorn is one of my favorite projects to turn. We will thread the Acorns an easy way. If you enjoy threading the more challenging is hand chasing threads. Being able to add a threaded lid will impress your fellow Woodturners and friends with an added feature of the lids being interchangeable.

Reviews

August 2022 - Kevin was one of the best instructors I've ever had (and was the BEST turning instructor I've had). He was incredibly prepared,

advanced our skills daily with thoughtful instruction and demos, and was a fun and insightful educator. He was exactly what I'd expect

a teacher here to be like. The assistant, David, was an incredible right-hand-man and made the experience ever more great. I hope you

find more classes and excuses to get these two back often!
